OIM-1 Overview Of Oracle Identity Governance

What is Oracle Identity Governance?

Gartner defines Identity Governance & Access (IGA) as, “a set of processes to manage identity and access information across systems. It includes management of the identity lifecycle that creates, maintains, and retires identities as needed as well as governing the access request process, including approval, certification, risk scoring and segregation of duties (SoD) enforcement. Core functionality includes identity life cycle processes, automated provisioning of accounts among heterogeneous systems, access requests (including self-service) and governance over user access to critical systems via workflows for policy enforcement, and access certification processes. Additional capabilities often included in IGA systems are role management, role and entitlements mining, identity analytics, and reporting.”

Oracle Identity Governance 11.1.2.3 includes OIM, OIA and OPAM, wherein OIA is slowly being phased out and being merged in OIM PS1, PS2 & PS3, and will be finally decommissioned in OIM 12c. We are covering all delta related to OIA in OIM i.e. Certification, Role Life Cycle Management etc. in OIM course.
